　　1.even though和even if的用法區(qū)別

　　1)even if 引導(dǎo)的從句是往往是假設(shè)性的，相當(dāng)于漢語(yǔ)的“即使”“縱然”“就算”“哪怕”

　　They’ll stand by you even if you don’t succeed.

　　即使你不成功，他們也會(huì)支持你。

　　【注意】

　　正因?yàn)閑ven if從句的內(nèi)容通常是假設(shè)性的，所以有時(shí)還可用于虛擬語(yǔ)氣;這樣用的even if 與單獨(dú)使用的if比較接近

　　Even if he had the money, he wouldn’t buy it.

　　他即使有錢(qián)也不會(huì)買(mǎi)它。

　　2)even though 引導(dǎo)的從句內(nèi)容往往是真實(shí)的，主要用于引出不利用于主句情況的信息，相當(dāng)于漢語(yǔ)的“盡管”“雖然”

　　3)不過(guò)，在實(shí)際語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用中，even if與even though有時(shí)也可不加區(qū)別地混用

　　盡管她嘲笑他，他還是很喜歡她。

　　1)adj.精確的;恰好的;準(zhǔn)確的;嚴(yán)格的

　　With the new technique, measurement was claimed to be much more precise.

　　有了這種技術(shù),人們斷言測(cè)量的結(jié)果會(huì)精確得多。

　　2)precise, accurate, exact辨析

　　這三個(gè)詞都有“準(zhǔn)確,精確”的意思。

　　accurate強(qiáng)調(diào)“準(zhǔn)確性”,即“與事實(shí)無(wú)出入”;

　　exact指數(shù)量上或質(zhì)量上高度準(zhǔn)確,強(qiáng)調(diào)各細(xì)節(jié)均與事實(shí)或標(biāo)準(zhǔn)完全符合,“絲毫不差”;

　　precise是正式用詞,含意是“明確,精密”,強(qiáng)調(diào)定義或界限的鮮明和準(zhǔn)確,含有刻板的意味。

　　3.literary

　　adj. 文學(xué)的;書(shū)面的;從事文學(xué)研究的

　　He is endowed with literary talent.

　　他有文學(xué)天分。

　　4.exemplary

　　adj.可仿效的;模范的

　　And this exemplary treatment of herself by herself constitutes her presence.

　　這種作為模范的自我待遇，正構(gòu)成了她的風(fēng)度。
