高二重點(diǎn)英語(yǔ)知識(shí)點(diǎn)：work on/work at

　　1、work on/work at

　　work on 與work at 可通用，表示“忙于…… ”。

　　但在work on sth. 中，sth是work的具體對(duì)象;

　　而在work at sth. 中，sth. 只說明所從事工作的性質(zhì)，即時(shí)間、精力用在某一方面的事情上，而不在于說明正在做什么。如：

　　He is working on/ at a novel. 他正在專心寫一部小說。

　　They have worked at this subject for many years. 他們從事這項(xiàng)課題的研究已經(jīng)好多年了。

　　Bob worked hard on organizing other singers to sing for him for free.

　　鮑勃積極地組織其他歌唱家為他義務(wù)演唱。

　　work out 算出；解決

　�、貱an you work out how much money it will need? 你能算出需多少錢嗎?

　　②I’ve worked out the problem. 我已解決了這個(gè)問題。

　　2、take sides（in） 袒護(hù)；站在……一邊

　�、賂hey took the side of their child. 他們袒護(hù)自己的孩子。

　　②She has taken sides in the quarrel. 她參與了爭(zhēng)吵。

　　3、worth/worthy

　　兩者均是形容詞，意思是“值得……的 ”，用法如下：

　　（1） worthy可以作定語(yǔ)，worth不能。例如：a worthy rival 值得較量的對(duì)手

　　（2） worth后面直接跟名詞(多為表示錢或代價(jià)的名詞)，其作用相當(dāng)于介詞;worthy后面接名詞時(shí)須與of連用(一般不接表示錢的名詞)。例如：

　　This second-hand book is worth 100 dollars. 這本舊書值100美元。

　　His deed is worthy of praise. 他的事跡值得贊揚(yáng)。
