 　whether和if都可以引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句,表示“是否”,在口語(yǔ)或間接引語(yǔ)中兩者可以互換使用.以下是育路網(wǎng)整理的Whether和if用法輔導(dǎo)，請(qǐng)大家認(rèn)真學(xué)習(xí)。

　　一、只用 whether 的情況：

　　1 在表語(yǔ)從句和同位語(yǔ)從句中只能用whether表“是否”。如：

　　He answered my question whether he would come .

　　The news whether our team has won the game is not known.

　　The question is whether the book is worth baying.

　　2 當(dāng)主語(yǔ)從句位于主語(yǔ)位置上時(shí)，只能用whether表“是否”。如：

　　Whether it will rain is not clear .

　　Whether they will come in time is a question .

　　3 在介詞后面引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句表“是否”，只能用whether。如：

　　It all depends on whether they will support us .

　　The discussion focused on whether they would buy a new car .

　　4 后面直接跟動(dòng)詞不定式時(shí)，只能用whether表“是否”。 如：

　　I don’t know whether to stay or not. .

　　5 后面緊跟or not 時(shí)。如：

　　We didn’t know whether or not she was ready .

　　6 引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句時(shí)，只能用whether 。如：

　　Whether you like it or not ,you must do it well .

　　7 用if會(huì)引起歧義時(shí)。如：

　　Please let me know if you like it .

　　這個(gè)句子可有兩個(gè)意思：“請(qǐng)告訴我你是否喜歡。”或“如果你喜歡，請(qǐng)告訴我。”用whether就可以避免歧義。

　　二、只用 if 的情況

　　1引導(dǎo)條件狀語(yǔ)從句時(shí)。如：

　　If it doesn’t rain tomorrow , we will go hiking .

　　If you like it , you can take it .

　　2 和 even連用時(shí)。如：

　　Even if the job was difficult , they did it well .

　　Even if it’s sunny , it a bit cold .

　　三、if , whether 均可使用的情況

　　1 引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句。如：

　　I wonder if / whether the news is true or not .

　　2 在 “ be + 形容詞 ”之后。如：

　　He was not sure if / whether it is right or not .

　　3 主語(yǔ)從句中使用了形式主語(yǔ)it，主語(yǔ)從句后置時(shí)。如：

　　It hasn’t been decided if / whether we shall have a class meeting .
