5月17日下午，應(yīng)“北京理工大學(xué)信息與電子學(xué)院2010年博士生論壇”邀請，英國Sussex大學(xué)皇家工程院院士Bernard L Weiss（theHead of School of Engineering and Design）和英國著名生物醫(yī)學(xué)工程屆華人專家Dr Wei Wang為北京理工大學(xué)信息與電子學(xué)院帶來一場精彩講座。信息與電子學(xué)院院長龍騰，相關(guān)教師及部分博士生參加了本次講座

　　講座開始前，信息與電子學(xué)院院長龍騰對兩位嘉賓的到來表示熱烈的歡迎，并對于前來參加講座的各位教師和同學(xué)表示感謝。隨后Professor Bernard L Weiss對Engineering & Design, University of Sussex, UK做了簡要的介紹，并對Semiconductor QuantumWell Structures and Devices課題目前的研究和發(fā)展展開介紹并深入的探討。隨后Dr Wei Wang 給在場的各位師生帶來了講座后面的部分-----“ Parametric Electrical Impedance Imaging: s step forward toward virtual biopsy for deadly breastcancer detection”。期間Dr Wei Wang通過大量的數(shù)據(jù)和案例來講述了目前生物工程技術(shù)和一些傳統(tǒng)疾病治療和預(yù)防之間的關(guān)系，并針對該學(xué)科未來的前景做了展望。在講座過程中在場的學(xué)院領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和師生始終保持著和嘉賓的及時(shí)溝通和探討，并在最后針對未來與信息與電子學(xué)院學(xué)科課題組合作進(jìn)行了展望和探討。

　　Brief Introduction of Professor Bernard L Weiss & Dr Wei Wang:

　　Professor Bernard L Weiss (DSc, FRAEng), the Head of School of Engineering and Design, University of Sussex, UK,has a distinguished research career, specialising in optoelectronic and microwave devices. He has published morethan 125 journal papers and fifty conference papers, and has been awarded research funding from major fundingbodies such as EPSRC, EU, NATO, DERA, and the US Army. He has been awarded a DSc and a DEng in recognition of hisresearch achievements in addition to being elected Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and several otherawards.
