二、Formats and Elements of Business Letters 商業(yè)信函的格式和要素
1、商業(yè)信函的格式
商業(yè)信函主要有兩種通用的格式：齊頭式和改良齊頭式
1）Block style 齊頭式
英文原文：Block style means that every line of the letter begins at the left margin.
注釋：line： 行 margin： 頁邊的空白， 邊；緣
中文意思：齊頭式是指信函的每一行都從最左端開始書寫。
2） Modified block style 改良齊頭式
英文原文：Modified block style means that such letters use the basic block format. However， the following parts begin at the horizontal center of the page： the letterhead， the date， the complimentary close， the signature， the typed name and the official title. In this way， the letter will have a more balanced look.
注釋：horizontal： 水平的 letterhead： 信箋上方的印刷文字，印有抬頭的信箋 complimentary close： 結尾敬語，結尾客套語（complimentary： 問候的，稱贊的）official title： 官銜，頭銜（official： 官員的，官方的，法定的 title： 頭銜，名稱）in this way： 這樣 balanced： 平衡的，協(xié)調的
中文意思：改良齊頭式是指信函使用基本的齊頭式。但是，下面的部分從頁面水平居中開始向右書寫：信頭、日期、結尾敬語、手簽簽字、打印的名字和官銜。這樣，整封信看上去有平衡感。
2、商業(yè)信函必備的要素（9個部分）
1）Sender‘s name and address/return address 信函發(fā)送人的名稱和地址/回復的地址
英文原文：It includes company‘s name， means of contact such as telephone number， fax number， email address/web site and postal address. Often it is a preprinted letterhead.
注釋：means of contact： 聯(lián)系方式 telephone number： 電話號碼 fax number： 傳真號碼 email address： 電子郵件地址 web site： 網(wǎng)頁，網(wǎng)站 postal address： 郵政地址（postal： 郵局的，郵政的）preprinted： 事先印好的
中文意思：信函發(fā)送人的名稱和地址/回復地址包括公司名稱，聯(lián)系方式，例如：電話號碼、傳真號碼、電子郵件地址/公司網(wǎng)頁和郵政地址。通常這些都事先印好成信函的信頭。
