Wearing (2) 10) None of my socks match. 我的襪子都缺少一只。 *“one sock at a time”如果丟失了，就都不再“match”了。 11) That woman is very creative; she weaves her own cloth. 那位女士非常有創(chuàng)作欲，她自己織布。 * clothes 是衣服，但是若變成單數(shù)，便成了布料、織物。 cloth也有桌巾或抹布的意思。 12) Don't worry, you only ripped the seam. 別擔(dān)心，只弄破了線縫而已。 * rip 和 tear apart 同義。rip 特別用于沿線縫破裂時(shí)。 13) Button holes are very hard to sew. 要縫鈕扣洞非常難。 * 縫制是 sewing。 14) She dresses very well. 她很會(huì)穿衣服。 * 也可以說成：She is very well dressed. 15) I like dressing up in old-fashioned clothes. 我喜歡穿著老式的服裝。 * dress in = wear 16) Marian is wearing a dress designed Paris. 瑪麗安穿著巴黎設(shè)計(jì)的時(shí)裝。 e.g. This is a scarf designed by Doir. 這是由迪奧設(shè)計(jì)的圍巾。 17) Some people are too conscious of how they dress. 有些人對自己的衣著過于考究了。 18) Excuse me; can you alter this jacket for me? 請?jiān)�，你能替我修改這件短上衣嗎？ * 如“alter opinion”般使用時(shí)的 alter，是“change modify”之意； 但是“alter clothes”時(shí)則用于修改衣服。 |
