考研英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作24分講座講義之便箋的寫(xiě)法

　　從本質(zhì)上來(lái)講，便箋也屬于英文信函的一種，應(yīng)被包括在廣義的英文信函之中。我們之所以將其單列出來(lái)講，是為了區(qū)別于一般的英文信函。作為一種簡(jiǎn)單的書(shū)信，便箋經(jīng)常用于熟識(shí)的朋友、同事之間，因而臨時(shí)性強(qiáng)，內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)短，格式簡(jiǎn)便。

　　從格式上來(lái)講，便箋的稱(chēng)呼和結(jié)尾謙稱(chēng)部分是比較隨意的，可以直接寫(xiě)上對(duì)方以及自己的名字，省略類(lèi)似于Mr., Dear, Sincerely yours等的禮貌用語(yǔ)。日期的寫(xiě)法也相對(duì)來(lái)說(shuō)比較隨意，寫(xiě)星期幾或者月日都是可以接受的，同時(shí)還可以寫(xiě)上幾點(diǎn)鐘等具體時(shí)間。

　　便箋的內(nèi)容一般是涉及請(qǐng)假、預(yù)約、通知、訪友不遇留言、接電話留言等等，接下來(lái)我們就請(qǐng)假條和約會(huì)條作一個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單介紹，其他類(lèi)型的便箋考生可以根據(jù)我們介紹的這兩種便箋來(lái)舉一反三。

　　1. 請(qǐng)假條

　　請(qǐng)假條可以由別人代寫(xiě)，也可以由請(qǐng)假人自己寫(xiě)。無(wú)論采取何種形式，其內(nèi)容必須包括請(qǐng)假的緣由和期限，必要時(shí)還須附上醫(yī)生的診斷或其他的可以證明請(qǐng)假事由的書(shū)面材料。根據(jù)請(qǐng)假事由的不同，可將請(qǐng)假條分為事假條和病假條。下面給出三個(gè)以請(qǐng)假為內(nèi)容的便箋，前兩個(gè)為病假條，一個(gè)是請(qǐng)假者自己寫(xiě)的，另一個(gè)是由別人代寫(xiě)的;第三個(gè)為事假條。

　　例一：

　　To Dean’s Office

　　Dear Mr. Black:

　　I am terribly sorry to inform you that I am unable to go to school today owing to a severe headache. I enclose a certificate from the doctor who is attending on me, as she fears it will be two days before I shall be able to resume my study. Could you kindly excuse my absence on Monday and Tuesday? Thanks.

　　例二：

　　Miss Boffin,

　　Please excuse Tom’s absence from school this morning. He caught a bad cold and had a high fever last night and could not fall asleep until midnight. I felt it would not be fair to the other children to allow her to attend school. So I am writing to ask you for three day’s sick leave and will let her resume her study if she feels better.

　　Yours sincerely,

　　Steven

　　例三：

　　Mr. Zhang,

　　I have just received a telegram saying that my father is seriously ill and urging me to go home at once. Because of this I would like to have a leave of two days beginning on August 26. I hope that my request will be given due consideration.

　　2. 約會(huì)條

　　約會(huì)條主要用于邀朋友相聚等，內(nèi)容上必須包含約會(huì)的事由，如果已經(jīng)定了時(shí)間和地點(diǎn)，則應(yīng)將具體的時(shí)間地點(diǎn)寫(xiě)在便箋上。

　　例：

　　Andy,

　　Fred is now with us. He is going to New York tomorrow morning to pursue his graduate study and we will not be able to see him for a long time. We are having a dinner party at 7 p.m. this evening at my home. It would be nice if you could come over and see him.
