  食物和烹飪一直是雅思口語(yǔ)中較多見的話題之一。雅思考試對(duì)于生活的貼近可見一斑。但是學(xué)生在這個(gè)話題上的發(fā)揮卻常常不盡如人意?赡苁俏覀兊膫鹘y(tǒng)教材中很少有涉及到這個(gè)話題的,因而學(xué)生對(duì)相關(guān)的詞匯較為缺乏,而由教育集團(tuán)最新出版的《每天三小時(shí)沖刺雅思口語(yǔ)》就彌補(bǔ)了這一空白。
  當(dāng)然,我們?cè)诿枋龅臅r(shí)候也應(yīng)盡量選取較為簡(jiǎn)單的菜肴去描述,而且最好是西式菜肴。中式菜肴通常以種類繁多,烹飪復(fù)雜而著名。有時(shí)要把這樣的菜介紹清楚已屬不易。
  這一類考題有以某一道菜為主要考點(diǎn)的:
  ◆ How do you cook this dish?
  ◆ Why is it your favorite dish?
  也有以一頓豐盛的菜肴為主要考點(diǎn)的:
  ◆ What did the meal consist of?
  ◆ Was it made for a special occasion?
  ◆ Why was the meal so special?
  還有一些考題問的是一些相關(guān)的信息,比如烹飪者、烹飪地點(diǎn)、共同進(jìn)餐的人和喜歡烹飪或這道菜的理由。

  在這段話的開頭用了讓步的手法,先表明我不太會(huì)做菜,以突出我做清蒸魚非常拿手。這個(gè)話題中會(huì)涉及到一些烹飪菜肴一類的較為專業(yè)的詞匯,大家可能比較陌生。這段中specialty表示“拿手菜”。
  {原創(chuàng)范例} Cooking steamed fish is super easy. But to get the most out of this recipe, make sure the fish you use is live, at least fresh. You also need ginger, spring onions, mushrooms and chili. First, clean the fish, cut the stalks of spring onions to almost 2 inch lengths, slice ginger and cut up mushrooms and chilies.
  在這里recipe指“食譜”,而其中用到的一些動(dòng)詞cut…to almost 2 inch lengths, slice, cut up都是菜肴制作中較為常用的,大家需要特別注意。《每天三小時(shí)沖刺雅思口語(yǔ)》的主編沙莎老師指出,描述一個(gè)制作過程的時(shí)候通常少不了一些表示步驟先后的連接詞,如這里的first和后文的next, after that和finally都是需要學(xué)習(xí)的。
  {原創(chuàng)范例} Next, place the fish on a shallow dish and drizzle a little soy sauce and water over the fish. After that, scatter the rest of the ingredients evenly over the fish. Finally, place the dish on a rack in a wok with some water and steam it on high heat for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot and it is perfect in every way.
