北京君誠(chéng)學(xué)校為所有年級(jí)學(xué)生(學(xué)前班至12年級(jí))都提供了優(yōu)質(zhì)的英語(yǔ)教學(xué)。君誠(chéng)的教師們也一直努力確保在教學(xué)過(guò)程中為學(xué)生答疑解惑,并能夠有效滿足學(xué)生在閱讀寫(xiě)作方面的需求。
SIBS offers a robust English Curriculum throughout all grade levels (KG1-G12). Teachers have been working hard to ensure we share common agreements with regards to implementing a well-balanced literacy block and we are effectively meeting the needs of students where they are on the reading a writing continuum.
君誠(chéng)小學(xué)部的教師們使用McGraw-Hill出版社撰寫(xiě)的Wonders系列的閱讀課程。該課程為基礎(chǔ)階段的學(xué)生提供了大量的選擇,讓他們從學(xué)會(huì)閱讀轉(zhuǎn)變成在閱讀中學(xué)習(xí)。君誠(chéng)學(xué);谠撜n程設(shè)計(jì)了不同單元的教學(xué)內(nèi)容,符合美國(guó)公共核心標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的要求。
ES teachers utilize the Wonders reading program written by McGraw-Hill. This program is a well balanced basal reader that offers a vast array of options for students to get what they need as they transition from learning to read to reading to learn. This program is utilized at SIBS and built into curriculum by way of Literacy units. Units are designed based on the Wonders curriculum that is constructed utilizing the US Common Core standards.
教師們會(huì)根據(jù)不同學(xué)生的年齡段,采取不同方式來(lái)評(píng)估學(xué)生的閱讀水平。在幼兒教育期間,教師們使用DIBBLES閱讀課程來(lái)實(shí)時(shí)觀測(cè)學(xué)生們的進(jìn)步與成長(zhǎng)。對(duì)于學(xué)前班(第二學(xué)期)至五年級(jí)的學(xué)生,君誠(chéng)每年使用三次哥倫比亞閱讀評(píng)測(cè)記錄(Columbia Running Record)來(lái)確定他們的閱讀水平和進(jìn)度監(jiān)測(cè)。圖書(shū)館內(nèi)的圖書(shū)按照難易程度分了等級(jí),教師可以將學(xué)生分組以方便進(jìn)行指導(dǎo)性的閱讀教學(xué)。寫(xiě)作研討會(huì)模式同樣也會(huì)用于小學(xué)的寫(xiě)作教學(xué)。
Teachers assess student reading levels using a number of measures. In early childhood, we utilize the DIBBLES reading assessment to determine student progress and to monitor for growth. From grades KG3 (second term) - G5 SIBS uses the Columbia Running Record three times a year to determine reading level and progress monitoring. Our bookroom has leveled readers that teachers are able to use in order to group students for guided reading instruction. Writers Workshop model is utilized in ES classrooms for writing instruction.
君誠(chéng)的中學(xué)部課堂(初中和高中)會(huì)使用各種小說(shuō)和課本來(lái)教授英語(yǔ)課程。教師可以使用Sheafer的寫(xiě)作方法來(lái)提高學(xué)生的學(xué)術(shù)方面寫(xiě)作技能。MS/HS classrooms use a variety of novels and textbooks in order to deliver the English Language Arts curriculum. Teachers are able to employ the Sheafer writing methodology in order to enhance skills in academic writing; a necessary area of focus for our demographic.
MAP考試適用于2至10年級(jí),用于考察君誠(chéng)學(xué)生是否達(dá)到了他們的學(xué)術(shù)目標(biāo)。The MAP assessment is used from grades 2 - 10 in order to determine whether or not our students are reaching their academic achievement targets.
