  由于疫情的影響,君誠學(xué)校在過去的6個(gè)星期內(nèi)一直致力于為學(xué)生們提供線上教學(xué)。感謝各位家長為確保學(xué)生按照教師的教學(xué)計(jì)劃進(jìn)行正常的線上學(xué)習(xí)所付出的耐心與付出。君誠也在盡最大的努力保持學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的連貫性。按原定計(jì)劃,期中報(bào)告應(yīng)于4月4日發(fā)送給家長們。由于疫情期間展開在線教學(xué)的原因,我們需要將期中報(bào)告的發(fā)送時(shí)間順延并盡可能在開學(xué)后跟學(xué)生見面后發(fā)送。家長會(huì)的舉行時(shí)間也相應(yīng)延遲。感謝各位家長的支持與理解,我們將會(huì)重新安排發(fā)送期中報(bào)告及家長會(huì)的計(jì)劃。望大家一切安康。希望學(xué)生們每天都可以保持閱讀的習(xí)慣。也請各位家長能夠在這段時(shí)間內(nèi)保持消息的暢通。 致上我們溫暖的問候,君誠國際雙語學(xué)校

  Dear Parents,

  Due to the Covid -19 virus, SIBS has been providing Virtual School or eLearning for the past 6 weeks. We know you, as students and parents have been working very hard to ensure you are keeping with the online learning plans your teachers are presenting to and for you. We thank you for your patience and hard work during this time. SIBS is trying to do everything that is possible to ensure your children continueto learn on the learning continuum.

  As a result of the online learning, we will need to delay Mid-Term progress report distribution for a few weeks, preferably after we have a chance to meet student face-to-face when school reopens. These were originally scheduled to be accessed or sent out on April 4th. It is likely that we will also need to delay parent teacher conferences by a few weeks as well. ”We thank you for your understanding and we will communicate about rescheduling of these events at a later date.

  一、8年級實(shí)驗(yàn)課:滲透作用 Grade 8 laboratory course: Osmosis

  把土豆分別放進(jìn)鹽水和純凈水里,會(huì)有什么不同?為什么在泰坦尼克號上很多人在墜入大海后穿著救生衣卻依然死去?帶著這兩個(gè)問題,我們走進(jìn)了8年級的實(shí)驗(yàn)課堂。下面列出了實(shí)驗(yàn)步驟,同學(xué)們在家就可以一起跟著做。 1、準(zhǔn)備1個(gè)土豆,切成土豆條。2、準(zhǔn)備兩個(gè)玻璃容器:在一個(gè)玻璃杯中加入約300mL的純凈水,另一個(gè)玻璃杯中加入300mL的水加大量的鹽(直到鹽不能再溶解)3、放置2-3天,觀察土豆條的變化并拍照,思考為什么。4、和你的父母一起看電影《泰坦尼克號》,向他們解釋為什么這么多人在墜入大海后穿著救生衣卻依然死去。

  原來,滲透作用(Osmosis)指的是兩種不同濃度的溶液隔以半透膜(允許溶劑分子通過,不允許溶質(zhì)分子通過的膜),水分子或其它溶劑分子從低濃度的溶液通過半透膜進(jìn)入高濃度溶液中的現(xiàn)象;蛩肿訌乃畡莞叩囊环酵ㄟ^半透膜向水勢低的一方移動(dòng)的現(xiàn)象。

  因?yàn)闈B透作用,土豆條在鹽水中因?yàn)槊撍s小了,這也是泰坦尼克號落水者發(fā)生悲劇的主要原因。同學(xué)們,你答對了嗎?

  What's the difference between putting potatoes in salt water and pure water? Why did so many people on the Titanicdie wearing life jackets after falling into the sea? With these two questionsin mind, we went to an experimental class in grade 8. The following steps are listed and students can follow them at home.

  Prepare 1 potato and cut it into chips.

  2. Prepare two glass containers: in one glass, add about 300mL pure water, and in the other glass, add 300mL water and plenty of salt (until the salt can no longer be dissolved).

  3. Let it sit for 2-3 days, watch the chips change and take pictures, and think about why.

  4. Watch Titanic with your parents and explain to them why so many people die wearing life jackets after falling into the sea.

  Osmosis, it turns out, means that two solutions of different concentrations are separated by a semi-permeable membrane (a membrane that permits the passage of solvent molecules, but not solute molecules), by which water or other solvent molecules from a low-concentration solution pass through a semi-permeable membrane into ahigh-concentration solution. Or the movement of water molecules from the high water potential to the low water potential through the semi-permeable membrane.

  Because of osmosis, potato chips shrank insalt water due to dehydration, which was the main cause of the Titanic disaster. Are you right?

  六、幼兒科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn):浸不濕的紙張  Science experiment for children: paper that cannot be soaked

  一張紙巾,泡在水里,居然不會(huì)濕,是有人給他施了魔法嗎?當(dāng)然不是,帶著小朋友們的問題,今天科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)需要準(zhǔn)備的物品有:一個(gè)水盆,一個(gè)透明玻璃杯,還有紙巾。

  實(shí)驗(yàn)步驟:

  1、取出一張紙巾,將紙巾疊成小團(tuán)。

  2、紙團(tuán)塞進(jìn)玻璃杯里,將玻璃杯(杯口朝下)迅速、垂直的插進(jìn)水盆。

  3、玻璃杯放入水盆約1分鐘,緩緩拿出水面,取出紙張,用手摸摸紙張,紙張沒有浸濕,還是干的。

  哈哈,見證奇跡的時(shí)刻到了!小朋友們快來自己動(dòng)手操作吧!

  科學(xué)原理(爸爸媽媽可以講解給小朋友們聽噢):

  紙巾只占據(jù)杯子里的一部分空間,紙張上面和紙張中間還存在著一部分空氣,由于空氣比水輕,且杯子是迅速、垂直地插進(jìn)水盆的,杯中的空氣還來不及逃到杯子外面去,水基本上無法進(jìn)入杯中,所以紙張不會(huì)被水浸濕。
